Introduction:The chestnut croissant is similar to the walnut croissant, but – surprise, surprise! – is made of chestnuts. Many people do not like walnuts, so this is a great alternative for them: chestnuts are not only delicious, but also healthy.
Ingredients: - 2-3 tbs of powdered sugar
1,5 dl of sour cream
40 dkg of Classic Chestnut Puree
2 dl of cream
1 egg
Preparation:
Mix the flour with the margarine, then add the yeast (already soaked in some warm milk), salt, powdered sugar, and sour cream. Knead them and let the dough rest in the fridge overnight. Roll it out into a thin sheet the next day, and cut it into forms with a cookie cutter. Mix the chestnuts with the cream and fill
the cookies with the mixture, folding them into the shape of a croissant. Spread beaten eggs on top of them, and bake them on medium until they become reddish in color. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top before serving.
